President Barack Obama has signed a historic health-care bill, that will make health insurance more affordable for every legal US citizen, about 32 million people don't have health insurance. But with this plan, americans all around the nation will be assisted, about 40 million by 2015 as opposed to 20 million.This is very helpful for many americans who cant afford health insurance, but it does not include immigrants, who make up a vast majority of citizens in America. Although Obama's actions for not including immigrants in the bill was intentional, he did it because he believes it will discourage immigrants to come to America illegally, and legalizing it for everyone will attract more people to come and mess up the tax burden in America. But even though the health care plan in a way will be used to discourage people to come, Americans depend on immigrants because they make a large about of agruculture workers. I believe that immigrants should have equal rights to this bill because they live in america like the rest of us. I just think they should have a better way to record illegal citizens and give them the health care they need. even though immigrants don't have rights to the new health care plan they still have options like emergency rooms and other programs like the the healthy San Francisco program which offers universal health care no matter what the citizenship status is. the new health care plan is a great way to keep americans healthy i just believe it will get altered and changed a little.
